What do you get when you combine fabulous food, melodious music and delicious drinks all put together for a great cause?
Well, “Live and Local 2016,” of course!
Presented by GoDaddy, “Live and Local” has become one of the signature events for not only those who appreciate great food and spirits, but for those who love music that is played with heart and soul.
The best part of all is that proceeds from the event go toward the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.
Food: Who doesn’t love a great dish full of flavor?
When you attend “Live and Local,” you are not just eating pre-made catered meals, these meals are made fresh to order with chefs who know food.
Just some of the places that are participating this year include Flemings Steakhouse, POSH, The Thumb and Salty Senorita. Not only do you get to taste the delicious offerings but those responsible for preparing them are there to mix and mingle with guests.
Speaking of “mix,” what’s an event like this without some spirits to get you in the mood?
A series of celebrity mixologists from places like Don Julio, San Tan Brewing Company and Francis Ford Coppola Winery will be on hand to serve you some of the finest drinks that blend perfectly with the flavors from the food. Whether it’s fruity, savory or spicy, there will be a drink that will wet your whistle.
As if the food and fun isn’t enough, the evening also is a chance to enjoy really great tunes from some of the area’s hottest bands. This year’s headliners are “IAMWE,” a Phoenix-based pop/rock band that chose its name because nothing is possible unless you work together as a whole. Their music is combination of heartfelt love ballads with hard-hitting dance songs.
Other bands include TripWire, Whiskey’s Quicker, Jay Allan and Fosterson.
No matter what your tastes are, when it comes to music and food “Live and Local” has you covered.
We cannot forget the cause in all of this, which is the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. Since its establishment in 1954 the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale has been a vital part of the community. The chapter serves not only youth in the northeastern portion of the Valley, but members of the Native American community, as well. More than 18,000 youth are provided services by the chapter with the principles and values that were established more than 60 years ago.
Once again, GoDaddy has come onboard to sponsor this event. It is joined by the co-sponsors of Charles Schwab, Tiffany and Bosco, Vonage and US Foods, to name a few.
With more than 2,000 people expected to attend, sponsors know that not only is this a perfect cause to be associated with but it is a wonderful opportunity for exposure for them, as well.
The event takes place on the grounds of the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall, taking advantage of the perfect fall temperatures that Arizona has to offer.
The outdoor area sets the picture-perfect backdrop for the smell of food drifting through the air along with the sweet sound of music coming from the live bands.
If you are looking for a fabulous night on the town, all with the hopes of raising funds for a great cause, then “Live and Local 2016” is your go-to event.
